Place value 

Year 5

Year 5 have been looking at counting forwards and backwards in steps of the power of 10 for numbers up to 1,000,000. Also, children have been reading, writing and comparing numbers up to 1,000,000 and can determine the value of each digit.

Year 6

Year 6 have been identifying the value of each digit for numbers up to 10,000,000. They also have been comparing, ordering and writing numbers up to 10,000,000.
