Today, Holy Trinity commemorated Armistice Day in school with a small service where we remembered those who have given their lives to protect us.
We laid a wreath and children from all classes added crosses. We were joined by Mr Heap and Mrs Simons, who helped to lead parts of the service.
The BBMF then sent a Spitfire to carry out a fly past at 9.30.
At 11.00 o’clock the whole school held a 2 minute silence to remember all the service men and women, who have helped or still help to protect us today.
The whole school showed remarkable respect during the service and our silence and were really excited to see the Spitfire!
Mrs Wylie and Mrs Wilson also kindly arranged to take a group of children to RAF Coningsby to represent the school at their Service of Remembrance. They children were a credit to the school. Thank you to the adults that made this possible. |
