I am writing on behalf of the Lincoln Anglican Academy Trust to reassure you about the steps that we are taking in relation to the Coronavirus or Covid-19.
We are working closely with our schools to keep the pupils and staff in our schools safe and are continuing to follow the latest advice and guidance issued by Public Health England and the Department for Education. We will act without delay to any developments that may impact on our schools.
The Department for Education (DfE) has set up a helpline for schools, including parents, carers and staff as follows:
Phone: 0800 046 8687 (8am – 6pm, Monday to Friday)
The DfE have issued specific guidance for schools and any decision about the safety of pupils at our schools will always be made in accordance with this guidance. A link to the latest public health guidance is on each school’s website or can be found at: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-information-for-the-public.
We are asking for your support to help prevent the transmission of Coronavirus and any other flu or viruses through encouraging good hygiene practices, such as effective and regular hand-washing. You will see posters displayed in our schools with helpful advice. Please refrain from sending your child to school if they are unwell and follow the Public Health England guidance if they have returned from specific affected areas or you believe that they have been in close contact with an infected person.
We will keep you informed of any changes in the current situation. In the meantime, if you have concerns, please discuss these with your child’s school, who will be able to support you.
