Meet the Team

Pastoral Manager – Ms Wise

Hello, my name is Ms Wise

I am the Pastoral Manager here at Holy Trinity Primary School.

During my career, I have always worked with children and families. I previously worked for the Emotional and Behaviour Support Service, Children with Disabilities Team, Domestic Abuse Service, working with children and families as a Children and Young Persons worker and finally at the Teaching and Learning Centre, which supports children who were at risk of, or have been permanently excluded from school.

I have worked for Holy Trinity Primary School since March 2022. In my role as Pastoral Manager, I am a Deputy Safeguarding Lead and a Level 3 Practitioner in Unconditional Positive Regard.

Part of my role is to attend Team Around the Child meetings, Child In Need meetings and Child Protection conferences. I also deliver Drawing and Talking and Sand therapy. The pastoral team works multi-agency, working alongside Healthy Minds, CAMHS, BOSS where needed, to ensure our children get the best possible support.

Our pastoral intervention space is called Sunny Lodge. It's a log cabin within the Forest School site and is a lovely space to deliver our pastoral interventions.

I am at school every Wednesday. I can be contacted through the office or by emailing pastoral@holytrinity.laat.co.uk

Learning Mentor – Mrs Gowshall

Hello, my name is Rachel Gowshall. I am the Learning Mentor at Holy Trinity. This role embraces all aspects of the school's social, emotional and mental health. I am the school's ELSA, Forest School Lead and Mental Health Lead.

I joined the school in January 2020, having previously worked in family support through the voluntary sector.

As part of the pastoral team, I support with Pastoral Support Plans, Early Help Assessments, Team around the Child and EBSA, referring to outside agencies to offer families a holistic approach to support.

I work closely with teachers and the SENCO to identify children that may need some extra support. Once identified, we will make a plan of support either through a Pastoral Support Plan or Early Help Assessment. This support may be through our Pastoral offer or through outside agencies. I deliver the Forest School Mindfulness, Lego Therapy and ELSA sessions.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me. I am often on the playground in the mornings or can be reached through the office or by emailing pastoral@holytrinity'laat.co.uk
