    Historical Heroine!

We met a real life Heroine today, in the form of Florence Nightingale! She came to visit today to explain all about her life and take us back in time to one of the hospitals she worked in as a nurse. We had to clean the floors, cooks the patient's dinner and tend to their wounds. We also got to handle some of the items that Florence would have packed in her trunk!

    eTwinning Teddy!

The teddy parcel is ready to go to Portugal! We've loved having him to visit in the classroom and putting our parcel together! We can't wait to see him on his return journey from Spain!

    Watercolour Characters

We've been using watercolours this term to create our own Alice in Wonderland character. We looked at some of the other illustrations of the different characters and then designed our own versions in our sketchbooks. We've created our polished piece to display in the corridor!

    How sounds are heard!

We've started our Science topic of Sound. We looked at different sounds we could hear and how it was different close up, or far away. We learnt that sound is created because of vibrations and looked at this in water!

    eTwinning Teddy Bear Project

We've been working with Madame Andy from Barnes Wallis on a Teddy Bear Project! We're working with 9 schools across Europe and will send a teddy bear to each country to find out more about their way of life. Today, we Skyped a school in Turkey for the first time! It was very exciting! We're going to send Christmas cards as well as ask each other questions about how their schools might be different to ours.

    Wonderland Fairy Gardens

We've designed our own miniature Wonderland Gardens! We thought about how we could use the different materials imaginatively and create different parts of Wonderland. We also went outside and collected natural materials to use within our gardens.
