This week in our Topic work, we looked at the Norman Castles, particularly concentric castles. We then designed a pattern to print using the lino block printing method. It was very tricky to carve out the pattern in the lino! 

Bayeux Tapestry

We have been looking at the Norman Conquest in Topic this term and have designed and created a new piece for the Bayeux Tapestry! The Coronation of William! We stitched the main parts of our piece and then used fabric pens to finish off the detailed designs!
