Today Mr and Mrs Carr brought their tractor into school  and talked to us about farming. This helped us to understand more about our seasonal Food topic that we have been looking at in DT and Cookery this term.

As you can see from the photos we had a great time and learned lots about the foods that they grew. These included: asparagus, leeks grains such as wheat barley and oil seed rape.

We also had a go in the tractor and learned how technology and science are becoming inceasingly important to farmers and the farming community.
