Please go through the power point called 'non chronological report' below with your child.
It introduces the features of an information / non chronological (not in time order) text.
Play it as a slide show from the beginning and the different parts will be introduced.
Then look next at the power point about Meerkats - it is an example of this text. You may need to read it with your child and talk about the different parts.
Finally, look at the last slide of the report power point and discuss the spider gram linked to Meerkats. Using these key words, ask your child to practice writing a sentence with them in. Only one or two are needed.
You could post your sentences on the Dojo portfolio if you would like me to read them.
