Theme

Continuing the theme this term, the children went on a visit to Tattershall Farm Park to see Father Christmas. The children had the most amazing time. We cannot thank the Staff of Tattershall Farm Park enough for making the children's visit special and memorable.

As part of our theme the children have been looking at planets in our solar system and the famous astronaut Neil Armstrong. As part of their DT lessons the children designed, made and evaluated their own astronaut hand puppets. The key skill they learnt was running stitch. The children enjoyed making their hand puppets. All their hard work paid off as I think they look amazing!

To finish off our theme of planets the children made star shaped biscuits. We talked about hygiene and why it is important to wash our hands before cooking. We also discussed how to stay safe whilst cooking.

This term in science the children are learning about plants. To start off with the children were asked to tell me what they know about plants.
