Africa
Our topic is Africa this term (summer term 5) and during the Easter holidays our home work task was to find out about Africa as a whole or find out about something African. We could present our work in any way we wanted. See our work in the photographs below.
Ostrich Egg Water Carriers
We have been looking at African art and also at the way ostrich eggs are used as water bottles. We made our own papier mache eggs and decorated them to resemble the ostrich egg water carriers. We had great fun and got very sticky. When we popped the balloons, some of our carriers wrinkled a bit but we still managed to decorate them and we think they look great.
