Before our main science lesson we went on Explorify. We played the game zoom in zoom out where the children had to tell me what they think the object may be.
This term for science we are looking at materials. Today we had to name the material the objects were made out of and sort them into groups.
Today in science we looked at describing different materials. We then went on to explore waterproof and not waterproof. To attach meaning to the words we did a little experiment with Lynol the Lion with water, paper and plastic.
In science today the children looked at melting and freezing. They could tell me why the ice melted and how we can turn water into ice again. Next the children used chocolate buttons and was able to explain why some children’s buttons melted quicker than others.
