This week we have learned about the two measuring systems of metric and Imperial measures, we have tried to remember some equivalent approximations, such as: 1 inch is the same size as the tip of your thumb to the first joint, or approximately 2.5cm.
Later in the week we looked at calculating perimeters of simple rectangular shapes, followed by composite shapes. We then utilised our problem solving skills to calculate perimeters of shapes that had missing lengths of sides. Mrs Kaynes has given some of us these type of questions this week.
