Maths

Year 1s have been learning to tell the time to o`clock and half past, whilst Year 2 have recapped telling the time to the hour, quarter past, quarter to and half past.

We have all now moved on to multiplication. Year 2 have been suing arrays and now writing multiplication sentences.

Year 1 have been finding the missing part in different ways using bar models, ten frames, part part wholes ad number lines. Year 2 have been drawing number lines to subtract whole numbers from 2 digits .

Year 1 and 2 have continued to explore subtraction. Year 2 have been learning regrouping and exchanging using dines and drawing their one number lines. Year 1 have been using part part wholes to solve fact families

Year 1 and 2 have both been exploring subtraction using dienes and drawing their own number lines

Year 1 and 2 have been learning about the properties of 2D shapes .

Year 1s are now writing addition number sentences using arrays

Year 1and 2 have both been looking at arrays in maths. Year 2s have no moved on to writing multiplication sentence to match their arrays

Year 1 and 2s have been recognising equal and unequal groups. Year 1s have been making equal groups of 2

Year 2s have been shopping this week. They were given £10 and asked to spend it all at the shop.

Years 1s have been looking at similarities and difference of notes.

Autumn term 2 Year 1. Year 1 have been looking at different coins and identifying their values.

Autumn term 2. Willow class have been looking at money. Years 2s have been seeing how many different way we can make 10p,20p and 50p from coins

Year 1 have been learning how to partition and number bonds to 10 using part part wholes and ten frames.

In maths year 1 and 2 have been having fun learning how to tell the time, o`clock, half past , quarter past and quarter to the hour. .

Year 2 children have been learning about partitioning tens and ones through place value counters to represent numbers to 100

Year 1s have been exploring how many different way they can represent numbers up to 10.

Year 2 exploring lots of ways to make a 2 digit numbers and using place value charts
