Willow have been sequencing Dragon Stew to be able to write their own narratives as well as character descriptions.

Children in Willow have been using their inference skills to explore pictures from our book this term.

As Holy Trinity Authors we will:

Be reading the book ‘A River’ by Marc Martin. This story follows a young girl who imagines herself floating along a river, as she gazes out of her window. Based on this text, we will be writing a circular narrative. ‘A River’ is a type of circular story made up of different places that the boat travels through. In circular stories the main character always ends up in the same place - the place where they started and usually events happen along the way. In the form of a letter, we will also be writing a reply to ‘Tom’ who has pushed a paper boat from his sail-boat. It explains he is not sure where he will be travelling next, so we will need to help him.
