STEM DAY with RAF Coningsby

Thursday 18th March

 

Today we have turned into a group of designers with the brief of designing and costing a new aircraft for the RAF. We were joined by ambassadors from RAF Coningsby who taught us about aerodynamics, renewable energy, safety equipment and engines.

 

We have had great fun choosing components, discussing camouflage and positioning landing gear and other parts such as the cockpit.
