Theseus and the Minotaur Diary Entries!
We've had a brilliant writing topic learning all about the Greek myth of Theseus and the Minotaur! We have written a diary entry as Theseus on the day he entered the maze. We have loved learning about this story and worked really hard on making sure that our diary entries had all the key features!
We're learning to play recorders!
We've had a teacher swap this term! Mrs Kaynes is teaching us to play the recorder while Mrs Brown teaches Pine Class their PE unit! We've just started to learn how to read the different symbols and how to hold the recorder in the correct way!

Theseus and the Minotaur!
We've had a brilliant start to the week looking at a new Greek Myth, Theseus and the Minotaur! We listened to the story first and then thought about the sequence to the story. Each group then had a different part to the story. We each acted out our given part and then watched them altogether!
Zap the Alien!
Today we learnt how light travels. We thought about how it travels in straight lines in millions of directions. We then had to use a torch, piece of paper with a hole in and a mirror to zap the alien at different angles!
Greek Buildings
We looked at different Ancient Greek buildings today. We looked at how they had a triangular shaped roof, tall stone pillars and made of stone. We looked at the Parthenon and how it was the temple of Athena. We then used lego to build our own Greek God temple. Don't they look amazing!
Greek Warrior Shields
We started our Greek shields at the Collection and finished them off this week. We completed our patterns and central design. Then we attached our arm holders to the back. We look very warrior like!
Swimming!
We've really enjoyed starting swimming again! We've started our 12 week block of lessons and we're doing it with the biggest smiles on our faces! We can't wait to see how much progress we will make in the next few weeks!
