Our Rainbow Room

This is our pastoral space where children are supported by Mrs Gowshall (Pastoral Learning Mentor) and Ms Wise (Pastoral Manager)

The Rainbow room is a welcoming room, where children may  have  weekly identified interventions such as  ELSA, Drawing and Talking Therapy, Sensory Circuits and Lego Therapy.

Children may use the Rainbow Room to:

• Access to an area to reset and re focus and time with the pastoral team away from the classroom. if they are struggling within the classroom environment.
• Brain break activities and sensory calming time.

• One to one time for  service children who may need extra support when their loved ones are  deployed.

• Supporting children with any pastoral needs by providing a safe space to share how the child is feeling.

At our school, we understand that every child has unique needs. Our dedicated and caring pastoral team is here to provide support in many areas to ensure that your child feels safe, happy and confident.

We can offer support for:

• Friendship Difficulties: Helping children navigate social challenges and build strong friendships.
• Self-Esteem: Building confidence and helping children develop a positive self-image.
• Anxieties and Worries: Offering reassurance and guidance to help children manage fears and concerns.
• Emotional Difficulties: Supporting children through times when they feel overwhelmed or struggle with their emotions.
• Social Skills: Helping children develop important skills for positive interactions with others.
• Divorce and Separation: Offering support during family changes to help children adjust and cope.
• Parents on Deployment: Providing additional support for children who are experiencing the absence of a parent due to military deployment.

Our pastoral team is always here to listen and help. In addition to the support we offer in school, we can also signpost you and your child to other support agencies when needed.
